May 5, 2006 : CDI Senior Advisor Philip Coyle will be speaking on Capitol Hill on First Responders, Surge Capacity, and Informed Health Care Staff: Are we ready to respond to a public health emergency? The event is for Members of Congress and their staffs, and is being sponsored by the American Association for the Advancement of Science and is part of a seminar series on biohazards and influenza. This series is designed to provide information to Congress about the current state of U.S. preparedness and response to either a natural epidemic or a biological attack from infectious agents.
